In the catering trade, one thing that is a good idea to have within the customers view is a mini drinks cooler. Coolers come in all shapes and sizes, but specifically we are talking about the small counter top models here. They are perfect for a small bar since the staff will be able to easily get drinks out of them without having to go down to the back room or basement, yes, we all know that, but they also are great for adding small themes to your drink selection to draw attention to which drinks you stock.
An Example of Using a Mini Drinks Cooler Theme Effectively
Ok, so you have a spare mini fridge, but it is not getting used at present – what can you do to effectively use it? You also have a product that is selling ok, but not as well as you hoped. Use the cooler effectively by making it into a showcase for that particular drink – whether it be Aftershock, Bacardi, or whatever else you choose. Arrange the cooler as you normally would, but leave one bottle at the front of the cooler with the label facing out the way (set the light to stay on in the cooler if it is one of the models with an integrated light).
There you go – customers will see the product highlighted through the glass door of the cooler, and they will be far more likely to order the product. The advantage of doing this is that it doesn’t take much effort to set up, and the product can be rotated every so often until you find one that gets a good sales boost.
Other Uses
Drinks coolers are also great for filling those small little spaces that you may have left in the bar area that have previously stood vacant. A mini fridge or a drinks cooler also makes for a great way to organize the bar area by showing the customer some of the more unusual drinks that your establishment serves.
Hotel Use
In the hotel industry these fridge drink coolers are great to have even in small rooms for mini bar use. Even the ones that are small enough to accommodate 4 -5 drinks and a bottle of wine are large enough for the customer to be happy and you will also be able to advertise your rooms as having a mini bar.
Drinks coolers are a healthy addition to any business which deals with the food, drink and catering industry – they will give your bar an extra bit of pizzazz or they can give customers exactly what they are looking for – without them even knowing!
